Material overview

HW5690 is a casting resin system for prototype parts and mock-ups made by vacuum casting in silicone moulds.

Use the PP-like formulation without component C, or select a PE-like formulation with 20, 30 or 50 parts of component C. The A:B ratio remains 120:100 across these formulations. The ratios below are expressed as parts by weight, not percentages.

The property values below distinguish the four formulations by their component C content. PP-like and PE-like describe prototype behaviour; they do not identify the resin as polypropylene or polyethylene.

Discuss the target material behaviour, part geometry and processing conditions with Haiwoo. Request the current technical and safety information before mixing or casting this system.

The source property table does not specify test methods or the cure schedule. Confirm these details with Haiwoo when comparing materials for your project.

Application focus

Prototype instrument panels, bumpers, equipment housings and covers.
